Machine Shop
AMI offers a full service precision machine shop from prototype to full production runs.  We feature precision Fadal vertical machining centers, CNC turning, and our Five axis Charmilles Wire EDM is capable of cutting parts up to 16” tall.  We also offer a fully automatic, production horizontal HEM band saw.

Plastic Injection Molding
AMI has been involved in  plastic injection molding for more than 12 years, with a wide variety of products.  The products include our own Universal Stair shim, used through out Colorado and Georgia in the replacement of wooden shims.  AMI also does work for a wide variety of customers including OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for companies such as Ford, Jeep, The Gap and Disney stores.

AMI can often save the customer a significant amount of money in mold development with our full service machine shop and variety of mold making experience we can manufacture molds and complete the injection work for one stop shopping.

Measuring
AMI Utilizes a Brown and sharp CMM (coordinate measuring machine) and a wide variety of calibrated inspection equipment, all traceable to the National institute of standards (NIST) to insure that that customers specifications are met and that we maintain a high quality standard, all helping to ensure that the parts we make are of the highest quality.

AMI is fully dedicated to quality so that your parts are on time and exceeded your expectations to assist AMI in this endeavor we are on schedule to become ISO certified in early October 2005.

Quality Control
Inspections are performed in process as well as in a final inspection on machined and plastic injection molded parts, AMI utilizes in house quality and customer specific quality procedures as required.  All inspection tools, gages, and equipment are traceable to NIST.

Inventory Control
AMI will work with your company to develop what method of inventory control works best in meeting your needs.  We currently use a wide variety of methods for different companies including the KANBAN system and JIT. 

Work that we complete
AMI does work for a wide variety of customers in both machining and plastic injection molding, including Aerospace, Optics, Lasers, Hard drive technologies, OEM manufacturing for the Automotive industry, military research and flight, commercial aviation, and University research.
